Taking the many measureents needed for Chi's annual Lb Test (see page 26) was rned into an easy one-man b this year thanks to Leica's sto Lite hand-held laser easuring device.
It measures distances am 300mm to more than Om in 1mm increments to a typical accuracy of +/-3mm and with the option of using imperial units.
Integral memory and calculator functions allow areas and volumes to be calculated automatically.
For anyone needing to make frequent measurements the Disto Lite could easily repay its sue cost by eliminating a second pair of hands, although a simple right-angled reflector plate might be needed for jobs such as wheelbase measuring.
