Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Nissan let us get our hands on its revised 4x4 CV line-up at an off-road site in North Riding Forest Park, a stone's throw from Scarborough.

Although the 10.000-acre site was fairly dry we did get a chance to see how well the Terrano Firma and Nissan pickups climbed and descended some acute hill climbs.

First we checked out the Terraria. It proved comfortable and pulled very well up 40% gra dients in four-wheel drive, first gear and without acceleration. We expected to be thrown about in the short-wheelbase version but it felt as surefooted as its longer stablemates.

Next we tried out a Double Cab Navara. The more powerful engine made light of the dry course; a little more rain (none here for 30 days according to the organisers) and it would have been in its element.

The King Cab was next on our list and we set off towards the infamous water feature but barely got past Co before suffering a puncture and our driving impressions came to an end.

However the King Cab looked very spacious without compromising the load space. it also has two foldaway jump seats behind the front seats with enough space for four.
