Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

A mobile servicing unit, which enables plant and machinery to be serviced and greased on site, has been developed by Multi Pneumatics Ltd., a specialist in air-supply equipment. The unit provides an independent and mobile supply of compressed air, which can be used for pressure greasing with the grease pump provided, or for tyre inflation, spray painting or blowing-down. It can also be used to power a wide variety of low-consumption air tools.

Installed at a building or con struction site, the unit enables an operator to carry out routine servicing of equipment.

The standard model consists of a compressor, rated to deliver 5 cuft. of free air per minute at pressures continuously adjustable up to 120 p.s.i. Power is provided by a four-stroke petrol engine. Variants are available to provide up to 20 cuft. of air per min. operated by an electrc motor or a diesel engine.

The compressed air passes through two receivers, which eliminate pulsations and aid the extraction of atmospheric mois ture, and through a filter /regulator which allows the pressure to be accurately controlled. Mounted on a sturdy chassis with large diameter wheels, the unit can be wheeled over rough ground or carried in a small pick-up truck or van.

The unit has applications to transport undertakings, where lorries, coaches or buses can be serviced in their overnight parking bays.

Made by: Multi Pneumatics Ltd., Enfield Industrial Estate, Newell Road, Redditch, Worcestershire. Price: £218.
