Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

tools for my job (forestry contractor) such as chains, saws and suchlike.

At the moment this vehicle is taxed as goods; is it possible to tax it privately, if not will it have to be plated as it weighs over 30cwt?

AIf your Land-Rover is to be used for carrying tools, then it will require taxing as a goods vehicle. If you contemplate putting these tools into a trailer and towing the

trailer with your Land-Rover, then it will still need taxing as a goods vehicle.

Vehicles over 30cwt unladen will have to be tested and plated in accordance with the MoT Testing and Plating Scheme. Full details of this scheme as it affects light goods vehicles appear in CM March 28, page 61.
