Eddie Barber of Essex Carriers and Betty Smith, the admin. assistant to the Lorry Driver of the Year committee, shunned the conventional method of travel last week. After attending an executive meeting in Coventry they returned to London with Frank Woodward in a helicopter belonging to Plessey. After dropping Eddie in (well, not quite) the Pool of London, the "chopper" deposited Betty at Biggin Hill.
In his job, Frank has to be an aircraft expert as well as a surface transport controller.
