• The North Western deputy LA, Mr. G. K. Newman, removed two vehicles from the A licence of H. R. Morrison Ltd. under Section 177 and advised the applicant to put in a substantive application to supersede the short-term licence he had been granted earlier in the month (CM May 16).

In 1964 Morrison had been taken over by Brennans Transport Services Ltd. without proper transference of licences. Later Brennans was placed in the hands of C. A. Huntingdon and Co., receiver for Martins Bank, who sold a vehicle and the shares of Morrison to Mrs. J. Cameron and Mr. J. Bowman, said Mr. G. H. P. Beams for the applicant. This money was passed to Brennans' creditors and that company was now in process of liquidation.

Work has been passed through Cameron Transport via the traffic manager, Mr. J. Cameron, and done under the two short-term licences. Mr. Cameron had now learned that balance sheets were not available for the Morrison business.

Evidence was given by representatives from Cargo and Marine Services Ltd. and Manifold Shipping that they would continue to use the Morrison vehicles and Mr. Newman said that this evidence could be used in support of the substantive licence along with figures relative to the short-term.
