• The first 36ft coach to operate in the Isle of Man arrived on the island this week. It is a reconditioned Bedford VAL with a Plaxton Panorama body fitted with 52 seats and supplied by Kirby and Sons (Sales) Ltd., South Anston, nr. Sheffield. At a reception in Douglas it was received by Mr. Michael Marshall, managing director of W. H. Shimmin (Tours) Ltd., who will operate the vehicle.
