NEW WEIGHBRIDGES FROM CENTRAL • Central Weighing of Kidderminster has produced new range of weighbridges approved for trade use. The range includes surface-mounted and pit models in capacities up to 80 tonnes. For further details contact Andrew Trinham on (0299) 251242.

PHILIPS CALLING LARGE FLEETS • The telecom division of Philips Telecommunication and Data Systems has launched the FM1200, a Band III trunked motile radio operating on Band Three Radio's network. Later in the year, it will be compatible with other Band HI networks, such as National One and Freecall.

The radio is a 100 channel transceiver with a 25W transmitter. It can store up to 999 call identities and Philips say it is ideal for large vehicle fleet operations.
