• York Transport Engineering is closing its Corby depot because "it no longer has a srategically or geographically important role to play in the development of the York Group."
The operation will cease trading on 28 April and there will be redundancies among the 60 staff. Work from the Corby site will be tranferred to York Transport Engineering's remaining 12 factory/workshop branches.
YTE opened two sites last year and the company says there may be plans to open other engineering sites over the next year.
