MORE than £152 in tines for licence offences was imposed at Matlock last week on a father and son.

Cyril Housley, of Yew Tree Farm. Wheatcroft, trading as Cyril Housley and Son, and his son, Malcolm Ian Hensley-, of the same address, faced 122 summonses. There were 61 summonses against each of them for failing to comply with the provisions of B licences.

Mr. R. Whitley. prosecuting, said the offences were in three groups. The first was concerned with journeys made by lorries which were licensed only to carry open-cast coal, but which were used to transport deep-mined coal. The second concerned lorries licensed to transport coke, but which were used for coal. The third was in respect of a lorry hired to a haulier, though under contract elsewhere.
