0 taff on Parcelforces national enquiry desk were fizzing after finding themselves on the receiving end of thousands of calls resulting from a television promotion for Britvic's Tango—more than 60,000 calls poured in. It seems the Mercury freefone number (0500) 224466 used in the commercial bore a close relationship to the parcel carrier's BT freefone number, (0800) 224466. Parcelforce has bought the Mercury number and complained to telephone watchdog, Oftel.
