• FERRYMASTERS MUNT Derek Munt is the new managing director of Ferrymasters, and also joins the board of P&O European Transport Services, a subsidiary of P&O. He started with Ferrymasters in 1969 and has been deputy managing director since 1985.

• LYNX MILLER/OLIVER/COOK Lynx Express Delivery Network has announced three internal promotions: Glen Miller has been appointed operations manager, based in Halesowen. His long term priority in his new post is to improve customer service and sales aftercare. Cyril Oliver has been promoted to development manager and will be concentrating on how to reduce costs and control time in the com pany, as well as improving computer integration. Paul Cook is Lynx's new personnel director and is currently promoting training courses.

• MAN VOLKS1NAGEN FALLOWS/MINSHULL MAN Volkswagen in Swindon has re-organised its fleet and sales department. Derek Fallows, national accounts manager since 1983, will now concentrate on the Midlands and south of England, while John Minshull joins him as national accounts manager for the north of England • BRS NORTHERN BEAN BRS Northern has appointed Joe Bean as sales manager for Bradford and Huddersfield. He has worked for both Mercedes-Benz and Ford and will be involved in promoting BRS services in contract hire.

• CARRYMASTER MCDOUGALUCATTON/ BROWN Trailer maker Carrymaster is appointing three directors: Gordon McDougall joins the company as financial director; Peter Catton becomes production director; and Hazel Brown marketing director.

• LIPE WEBB/PROCTER Heavy-duty clutch manufacturer, Lipe, has appointed David Webb as sales and marketing manager for the UK and Scandinavia. Webb joined the company 12 years ago and will now be responsible for the sale of original equipment and remanufactured products.

Frank Procter has been promoted to applications engineer and his responsibilities will include installation, selection and following up new product trials.

• FEDERAL EXPRESS KELLY Gordon Kelly has been appointed commercial director of Connect (UK), the nationwide parcels distribution service from Federal Express. He joined Wilkinson Transport in 1982 which was later taken over by Federal Express.

Kelly was previously UK sales director.

• RYDER RODGERS Howard Rodgers has been appointed divisional distribution manager for Ryder Distribution Services and will be responsible for developing Ryder's warehousing and turnkey distribution for street retail companies.

Rodgers was previously distributions operations manager for Ushers Brewery and a management consultant for Neville-Clarke Associates and Coopers and Lybrand.
