Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• A take over involving two East Midlands transport concerns was announced this week by NCC Plant and Transport Ltd, a subsidiary of the National Carbonising Company. The two companies are D. and M. Transport Ltd, a 20-vehicle haulage company of Castle Donington, and an associated company Castle Donington Motors Ltd, a clearing house.

The two concerns were built up by Mr Frank Irving who has been appointed a consultant to NCC P and T. His son, Mr Dennis Irving, remains managing director and is joined on the board, by Mr Alan Corbett, managing director of NCC P and T, and Mn. A. C. Gaze.

D. and M. Transport has a fleet of rigid and artic vehicles and is also a clearing house, chiefly for British Gypsum/British Plasterboard Ltd. Castle Donington Motors, which is purely a clearing house to all parts of the UK, is managed by Mr R. Wrigley.
