• On 1 August Unigate subsidiary Giltspur Bullens Transport Services will change its name to Bullens. This follows the transfer of the removals company into the Wincanton Group, also part of Unigate. Bullens managing director Aubrey Appleton says: "This is a very logical move in view of Wincanton's expertise in the transport field, especially fleet management. It will give Bullens additional backup resources and enable us to strengthen our existing range of services."
Bullens, which operates 200 vehicles from 14 depots nationally, is planning to expand its crate hire service.
