TT was announced late on Wednesday that IBritish Road Services Ltd. had bought George Read (Transport) Ltd., of Mitcheldean, Gins, which operates 50 vehicles mainly on the carriage of steel and tinplate to the London and Reading areas and to Liverpool and Barnsley. The take-over became effective on July 21.
The company will continue to operate under its own name as a separate undertaking, with Mr, George NI. Read continuing as a director and as manager, but Mrs. E. A. Read bas left the board and Mr. P. T. Croker has been made chairman. He is south western district manager of BRS Ltd.
