Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Bradford-based contract-seating manufacturer Knightsbridge Furniture is saving an estimated £700 a week on the costs of subcontracting out transport work after fitting its HGV fleet with Masternaut's on-line fleet information service.

The system, which provides live information on delivery progress of the firm's eight-strong fleet, has enabled optimised routing and better management of vehicles and drivers, helping to cut the need for additional vehicles.

Installation of the system was free—Knightsbridge pays only a weekly service fee of £15 per vehicle. Reports are accessed via Masternaut's website and the system also provides weekly e-mail reports on fleet and resource productivity. The system also comes with a driver identification system consisting of a unique key that drivers log in with when using a vehicle, which helps Knightsbridge track driver activity across different vehicles.

"Each vehicle and its cargo is worth £70,000 and it is really Important to know where they are," comments Knightsbridge's transport manager, Jack Rogers.

"Masternaut gives me control over the fleet and even though we have only had it a short while, I don't know how we would do without it."
