Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• A new truck telematics terminal that fits into the dashboard DIN-slot has just been announced by Finnish firm Aplicom.

The F-Series unit, aimed at telematics system providers, features a clear and simple DT 1000 display and offers a wide range of interfaces for both vehicle data and peripherals.

The DT 1000 is a graphic touchscreen display and can be used without a separate keyboard, though keyboards are still supported. Up to two display units can be connected to the F-series CPU.

The F-Series has all common vehicle data interfaces such as CAN, RS 485 and ISO 9141. Binary inputs, pulse counters and analogue/digital outputs are also provided. Peripherals can be connected via four external serial ports. Internal options include a GSM/GPRS modem and a GPS receiver.
