Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

vehicle-tracking system with the launch of a real-time traffic and travel information (ill) service.

This web-based service, founded on an agreement with Traffichnk, will give fleet managers running the Orchid system up-to-the-minute congestion, incident and other trafficrelated information. This, says Males, will allow them to identify and react to traffic situations, saving time and money.

Orchid TTl will actively 'push' information to users, once they are logged in, on a five, 10 or 15 minute basis, or simply on demand. The information provided is overlaid on the user's existing street-level map. Specific icons identify road problems, transport problems, special events, long-term issues (eg roadworks) and predicted delay times.

"With fuel consumption for vehicles covering only 50,000 miles a year accounting for as much as 71% of total running costs, the chance to reduce excess usage is a central issue," comments Thales Telematics technical director, Nigel Porter.
