TRANSPORT Secretary Davit Howell does not agree that lorn drivers should be paid extra be cause tachographs are fitted t4 their vehicles.
He told Arthur Lewis (Labour Newham North West), whc wanted legislation to ensure tha this happened, that drivers wen now relieved of the task of corn pleting written records.
But, he added, there might 13' scope for additional payment under productivity agreement based on information provide' by the tachograph. Howevel this was not a matter for legis lation.
