He joined Lex Service Group on the garage side, leaving in 1972 as general manager. For the next ten years he worked his way up to the operating board of United Carriers Ltd.

Mike Pask has joined the Crystal Organisation of Hull as national fleet sales executive. He previously worked for British Road Services for six years and at Hartford Motors of Grimsby.

Reg Heath, chief executive of Wadham Stringer Vehicles, has been made managing director of TKM Automotive. He was elected to the board of Wadham Stringer in 1975, became director of group services in 1978 and was appointed managing director of Wadham Stringer Vehicles in 1980.

Several changes within the sales organisation of Ferodo Ltd have been made. Peter Quinn has taken up the post of divisional sales and distribution centre at Tottenham. Ken Prime, divisional sales manager of the northern region, took up an appointment as materials control manager at the company's headquarters at Chapel-en-le-Frith. Desmond Lewis has become divisional sales manager for the northern region. He will be responsible for sales throughout the North of England.

Christopher Coward, traffic manager of the Unilever services company UML Ltd, has been made chairman of the surface transport committee of Merseyside Chamber of Commerce and Industry. He takes over from Ceo Off ley.

Control Systems Ltd has taken on trained engineers to strengthen its team. Colin Bulle becomes export sales and mai keting manager. He wa previously with the GEC Grout Keith Hutchinson is now i charge of selling the ne% systems to transport operator in the North. He was formerly sales engineer with Plessey an' RIC Capacitiors. Walter Maur cey takes on the role of electron ics engineer, operating in till South of England.

Helmut Werner is to head till Conti/Englebert Group in suc cession to Dr Hahn, who is join ing Volkswagen as president. M Werner joined the tyre compan, in Aachen in 1961 and for nini years held a variety of appoint ments within the company' sales and marketing groups.

The Flexi-Van Corporation ha, elected Larry Hotohkies am Robert Reidelberger as vice presidents of the Corporation Mr Hotchkies joined Flexi-Van 1973, and established the corn pany's trailer rental operation: in Canada and Europe. Mr Rei delberger has been with Flexi Van since 1969. In his new posi tion he will be responsible to intermodal operations in the Pa cific.
