A'application by Mr. J. Ingleby, a former miner, of Ann itsford, Northumberland, to use a 12-seater minibus to carry workmen to and from their work at certain factories, was rejected by the Northern Licensing Authority. Ingleby admitted that he had been using the vehicle for this purpose until United Automobile Services, Ltd., had lodged complaints. He said he had had to give up his work as a miner for health reasons and had bought his minibus for £800. The United company said there was no demand for the additional service, and Mr. I. A. T. Hanlon said workpeople who were not satisfied with the arrangements for getting them to work should see the bus company.
