At the present time it is a condition of the licences granted by Tottenham Urban District Council that petrol is to be received only between the hours of sunrise and sunset. On the ground of economy, the London General Omnibus Co., Ltd., has applied for this condition to be waived, so far as its West Green garage is concerned, and the request has been acceded to, subject to the superintendent of the fire brigade being satisfied with the arrangements to be made for delivery.

Buses Doing Well at Warrington.

Warrington Corporation's accounts for the half-year ended September 30 show a net profit of £381) on the tramways, as against £2,765 for the corresponding period of the previous year. The receipts from passengers show a decrease on all routes.

On the buses there was a net profit of £6,640, compared with £3,975. The working expenses were 11.708d. and the total expenses 12.045d. per bus-mile, whilst the receipts were 17.990d. per bus-mile.

Appointment of Huddersfield Transport Manager Deferred.

The appointment of a new corporation tramways manager at Ltuddersfield has been deferred owing to the illness of the chairman of the tramways committee (Alderman (Tanby). Meanwhile, the present manager, Mr. A. A. Blackburn, who is about to retire, will continue his duties.
