I'M GLAD TO see someone is reversing the trend and opening a truckstop rather than closing one (CM 23 August,' Scottish operator opens truckstop at its base').
Maybe this will start a trend for other operators to open up facilities, As an owner-driver I know how hard it is to find a good place to stop and take a break.
If, as understand, truckstops aren't the best money-makers in the world, why doesn't the government put some tax money back into such facilities to provide the driver with a better working environment? I say working, as we don't take these breaks for fun.
