Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

SUTTON & SON (St Helens). Tanker Division. Avonmouth Docks.

'Forty of our 400-plus UK tanker fleet are based at Avonmouth," says Sutton & Son's Avonmouth depot manager Phil Oakes.

"Most tankwash sites can handle -egular products like sulphuric acid or Other caustics," he adds, "and LPW is 3S thorough as any."

Locality was really the deciding actor, and Oakes is happy to let the tankers travel up to 50 miles, from as far afield as Exeter or even Plymouth, and have LPW wash the tankers inside and out in readiness for the next load.

The last thing anyone needs is for cleaning residue to be allowed to interact with a costly and extremely hazardous load. There's not only the potential for turning a chemical offgra& worse still it could cause a dangerous incident.

'We're confident LPW has the expertise necessary to handle the specialist products we carry on behalf of our clients," says Oakes, "especially when we're switching chemicals."
