NEW COACH services, new links, new weekend and dayreturn facilities and summer services running all year round are featured in the 1974/75 winter timetable of express services offered by National Bus Company subsidiaries.

Services from North London to Leysdown in Kent, London to Isle of Wight. South London to Bournemouth, Brighton to Exeter, and Southend to Victoria will for the first time run at weekends in winter.

Sheffield's links with Blackpool are improved with a new daily service and a new Saturday and Sunday service via M62. A Friday journey to Scarborough gives a new weekend facility.

In the Midlands, additional journeys are introduced between Birmingham and London and Nottingham and London.

Services between London and South Wales are being revised to give improved day and weekend return facilities and new connections are to be made at the Severn Bridge interchange for Slough and Uxbridge and for Exeter and Penzance. Routes into London have been accelerated with the availability of new sections of motorway. For example, the London to Cheltenham fast service will have running times reduced by 15 minutes.

Fast afternoon journeys on Fridays and Sundays in both directions between Manchester and Glasgow via Preston and Carlisle are speeded up and complete the through run in six hours.
