• The match for the Castro! Shield in the National PSV Undertakings cricket competition will be between Manchester City Transport and London (Central Road Services). The game will be played on the Hampshire County ground at Dean Park, Bournemouth, starting at 2 pm on Wednesday September 4.
In the semi-finals the results were as follows:— Manchester City Transport 128 for 8 wickets; Midland Red, 124—all out; match played at Manchester on August 13. London (Central Road Services), 58 for 1 wicket; Northern General Transport 56—all out: match played at Gateshead on August 17.
Last year the same finalists should have met each other but the match was rained off so the Castro! Shield for 1967 was shared between the teams.
