DR1TISH ROAD SERVICES' new
controlling body, the B.R.S. Federation, whose formation was announced in The Commercial Motor of July 19, was officially registered as .a limited liability company on August 16. It is listed as limited by guarantee without share capital. with an original membership of .50.
The objects of the company are registered as: " To promote the, well-being and prosperity, to watch over and protect the general interest and bring about and maintain collaboration in the management of the companies which are controlled by the Transport Holding Company and the main activities of which consist of the transport of goods by road or activities ancillary thereto, etc."
The subscribers are listed as G. W. Quick Smith, H. E. Osborn, Roger Chitty, T. G. 'Gibb, E. G. Marsden. C. W. Reeves and J. P. P. Turner. The management is vested in a councilwhose members shall be appointed by the Holding Company. •
The managing director and vice-chairman of the Federation is Mr. T. G. Gibb. and Sir Reginald Wilson is acting chairman.
