And introduction of the equipment will take at least a further 24 months.

Tacho manufacturers are busily engaged in talks with vehicle manufacturers, tendering equipment which they hope will meet the specifications. But their work could be in vain if the EU Commission announces any surprise requirements. This week's report is likely to mean just this.
