THERE could have been a "punch-up" at the FTA Annua Dinner this week. The 1,000-p delegates dressed in penguin suits were assembling in the reception room. The toastma in resonant tones suddenly hushed the hubub — "Mr Jac Peterson" — he called. And it was him, that great pugilistic artist of yesteryear.
Upstairs, the president's VII sipping their gext — slimlines of course — were being introduced to "Mr Henry Cooper" of more recent yesteryear.
Battle did not ensue. These great sportsmen had lost thet way. They should have been z another Park Lane pub for a dinner jacket sporting occasic — a pity really, but you can't have everything, or can you?
