Collett Transport Services promotes itself energetically at both a national and a local level and has even taken part in Channel 4's Scrapheap Challenge. "We've taken stands at Futu resource in London, the Plant and Waste Recycling Show in Paignton, the Londonderry Garage Show in Northallerton, and we'll be at the Recycling and Waste Man agement show at the NEC," he says. "What's more, we'll be running a municipal equipment show of our own next year," Collett continues. "It will coincide with the Chartered Institution of Wastes Management holding its regional meeting here on 6/7 July 2011."
One reason for attending the show will hopefully be the opportunity for managers to be trained in particular types of machinery so that they in turn can train their staff. "They'll be able to book their training slots before they come and receive the appropriate certificate when they leave," he says.
