Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Dartford ferry firm Dartline is trying to clarify the trading position of Dutch unaccompanied freight firm Seatrans because about 30 trailers seem to have been abandoned on the quayside.

Dartfine says that it has not received any official communication from Seatrans. which is one of its major cus tomers, but it adds that Seatrans "appears not to be trading".

As CM went to press Seatrans head office in the Netherlands was being manned by just two people. They admitted that "there are some problems" but claimed they did not know the managing director's mobile phone number. No other directors were available for comment.

A number of small hauliers who provide traction for Seatrans would be hit hard if the company did stop trading.
