A HINT of possible 'expansion by the Provincial Traction Co., Ltd., is contained in the announcement that shareholders are to be asked on September 16 to approve a resolution increasing the authorized capital to £1 00,000. The extra shares would not be issued at present, but the margin would allow investments to be made in enterprises that would combine satisfactorily in the group.

It consists of the Provincial company and the Gosport and Fareharn Omnibus Co., one of the few statutory bus companies in Britain. The group's activities were fully described in The Commercial Motor on November 30, 1951.

OVER 1100,000 SPENT ON VEHICLES

SINCE denationalization Messrs. R. and W. Febry, Chipping Sodhun, had spent over 1100.000 on obtaining a fleet of lorries. This was stated he Vr. R. Febry before the Western Licensing Authority, on Monday, when the firm applied for an A licence for .10 additional vehicles to carry road materials.
