The Drivers Action Movement has slammed the government over its continued failure to take action on overnight truck parking problems.
DAM secretary Jack Crossfield says despite promises that conditions would improve and prices would fall it continue; ignore the issue, even with the appointml of a new Transport Minister, David Jamie: "There have been numerous incidents recently of truck drivers being robbed i• even one burned to deaft all because of a lack of parking. The government continues to make the excuse that it is because a cabinet reshuffle but eN, with a new minister, nothil is being done." 11°
