The many articles involving the Working Time Directive that have been published have been very informative and, dare I say it, amusing, but the facts remain the same: the impact on our industry will be quite severe.
Barry Proctor's comments were spot on (CM 18 September). Costs will go up, they will be undoubtedly passed on to our customers and our customers will look to owner-drivers to work for them directly!
