LONDON & COUNTRY ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT is responsible for maintaining a fleet of 420 buses and coaches, operating from nine garages in Surrey and South East London. Following a review of engineering requirements a vacancy has arisen for the new position of Technical Engineer. Reporting to the Engineering Director, your principal task will be to direct and coordinate the Technical training of engineering staff, to ensure that the Company's vehicles are maintained to cost effective standards.

In addition, you will be required to prepare specifications for re-conditioning of major and minor units, prepare and oversee technical service bulletins, undertake vehicle and component evaluation programmes as directed, as well as assuming responsibility for supervising a newly installed vehicle cost system.

You are likely to be in the age range 25-45 and you will have served a recognised apprenticeship or be in possession of relevant technical qualifications.
