LAST YEAR'S pre-tax loss by Renault Truck Industries of E10.2 million represents an eight per cent improvement over 1983's E12.4 million loss.
Coupled with this year's slightly better performance, this has reiniOrced the Company's commitment to securing a sound future for its Dunstable truck • building operation.
Since 1981, when Renault Vehicules Industriels acquired control of the Dodge .commercial vehicle operation, it has underwritten RTI's net losses by £40 million.
Although RT1 expects its current rate of improvement to slow down, it still expects to be profitable by 1989.
