MR. E. M. PIZEY, who has been released frOm his duties with Tyre Directorate, Ministry of Supply, has rejoined Pirelli, Ltd., as sales representative operating from the company's Birminghana branch. Massas. W. H. DawE and A. KEARON have also resumed duties with the Pirelli concern as sales representatives operating from the Southampton branch.

MR. J. C. AHRER, of Eric S. Myers, Ltd., Bradford, has been elected chairman of the Bradford 'section of the Motor Agents' Association, an office of which he has had previous experience, to fill the vacancy caused by the resignation ,of Mr. William Smith, formerly of Grace and Sutcliffe, Ltd., Keighley, and now of Galway Services (Leeds), Ltd.

MR, G. L. THOMAS, overseas service manager of the Dunlop_ Rubber Co., Ltd., is now on his Way to South Africa to act as the company's service engineer in that country. He joined the Dunlop concern in 1924 and became manager of the vehicle-equipment department the next year. He was service engineer in South Africa from 1928 to 1937, when he returned to England as overseas service manager at the Dunlop headquarters. MR. J. B. BURNELL, previovsly Divisional Superintendent of the Eastern Division of the Central Bus Operating Department of London Transport, has been appointed 'Operating Manager (Central Buses). He succeeds MR. S. R GEARY, who is now General Manager (Road Services) Mi. E. W. &smart, of the British Belting and Asbestos Co., Ltd., Cleckheaton, has been elected chairman of the North-eastern Centre of the Institution of Auomobile Engineers, in succession to Mr. E. J. Hewitson. of Hyland, Ltd:, Wakefield. DR. A. S. LEAH, of Leeds University, has become the Centre's hon. secretary in place of Mr, I-I. F. Ellis, of Kirkstall Forge, Ltd., who has held that office since 1938.

MR. I",TEVTLLE F. SPERRYN who, since 1931, has acted as accountant of the Champion Sparking Plug-,Co., Ltd.. has been appointed secretary of the company. MR. H. W. CRADDOCK, who has just completed 21 years' service with the company, becomes advertising manager in charge of advertising and publicity. MR GEORGE F. BALDWIN becomes sales manager. Joining the company in 1933 as Lancashire representative, he was promoted successively to northern supervisor and later to assistant sates manager.
