• NFC is considering a shakeup of its transport division which includes BRS, Lynx, Tankfreight and BRS Automotive.
The haulage, distribution and property giant has had a team of management consultants studying the viability of the division — one of four within NFC.
Now the NFC board is considering the report, from City consultancy McKinsey. It could lead to the sale of loss-making operations such as Lynx and the hiving-off of the car transport company, BRS Automotive.
There has also been speculation about a BRS Automotive merger with Abbey Hill.
