THE BRITISH Roads Feck tion has called for an indep dent inquiry into the spend of transport cash on rail el trification and has accu: British Rail of working "confused and inconsisti proposals."
BR has put forward ph that would require £500m fr the transport kitty in addit to E500m it already absorb: revenue support.
This week a BRF spokesh commented that there was objection to BR investing projects which ma economic sense but "we obj to the use of public money schemes which pass no non economic or financial tests.
And BRF wants to see independent commission up by the Minister of Tra port to examine all rail el trification.
