Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Keywords : Truck, Leng, Leyland Daf

• Former contracted owner-driver Colin Leng is fighting to keep the truck he has almost finished paying for when he left ARC Southern last weekend.

Leng will take the dispute to court if ARC insists on taking over payments for the truck from the finance house.

ARC could use a clause in Leng's contract which says the company has first option of buying the truck if Leng left ARC before his haulage agreement expired.

But Leng is arguing that he does not want to sell the Leyland Daf Constructor 24.20. He has only £4,000 still to pay on the G-registered truck: he wants to buy a tipper body for it and use it on local work. "I've paid more than £47,000 for the truck to date and do not see why I should give it to ARC which is only valuing the truck at £9,500."
