PERATORS in the London area have been warned by shop .ewards that more than 6,000 drivers will take part in one-day rikes every Monday from next week over a claim for a 25p rise L meal allowances.
Metropolitan area Road aulage Association secretary frs Deidre Kohler told CM tat operators had been told tat the action against inviduals would cease as soon ; that operator paid the 25p e.
But she said that another nther had been warned that did not matter whether he Lid or not the action would intinue until the rise was inarporated into a formal ;reement with the RHA.
"The object is to get the 25p to an agreement so that if ere is a further limitation on ages the payment is estab;hed for the future and it Duld not be part of any perntage of their wages," said Mrs Kohler.
During the action no overtime will be worked to make up for last time and no subcontracting may take place according to the shop stewards.
