BUS reliability must be Olt target for London Transport it 1978, says the London Trans port Passengers Committee it its annual report.
The watchdog organisatioi says that it still hopes that LT' bus situation will improve, bu to passengers it seemed lik waiting for a tomorrow tha never comes.
The report congratulate the GLC on approving th recruitment of additional sta and urges the council to tak more vigorous action to tackl the growing problem of traffi congestion.
Lack of staff, traffic conge. tion and, to a lesser exten, mechanical faults all kep buses off the road and let frustrated passengers waitin at bus stops, said committe chairman Fred Sturch.
