was signed this week between British Railways and William Donald and Son Ltd., of Aberdeen, for the carriage of meat by Freightliner from Aberdeen to London for Sainsbury's Ltd.
A liquid nitrogen refrigeration system known as Cryoguard and made by Air Products Ltd. is installed in the Duramin Freightliner containers. At Kings Cross terminal, there is a liquid nitrogen storage system to refill containers. It is understood that 75 tons a day of refrigerated meat will be sent in 20 ft. containers.
