New guide to TIR

• A Guide to TIR (Transports Internationaux Routiers) has been published by the Vehicle Inspectorate.

It replaces VE505, which dealt with manufacturing requirements for vehicles used in the movement of goods under Customs control, and outlines constructional requirements and procedures for examination of these vehicles.

The guide should be useful to manufacturers of components used in the construction and conversion of vehicles intended for TIR use. Contact (0792) 454293.
