takes on TEC • Suspension manufacturer Hendrickson Europe has purchased the assets of TEC from Aveling Barford and will transfer them from Grantham, Lincolnshire to Hendrickson's new facility at Sywell Airport, Northampton.
TEC, which was purchased last November by Aveling from the now defunct York Trailer group, produces fixed and self tracking axles and suspensions.
Hedrickson managing director John Kelleher says: The acquisition of TEC is a natural step towards making us a major European supplier of trailer axles and suspension systems."
The combination of Hendrickson's HT 230 series air suspension with the TEC trailer axle is seen as a competitive lightweight package that will strengthen its position in the runninggear market.
