ROLLS-Royce Motors have taken a stake in L. Gardner, the diesel engine manufacturer.
Now, I'm told that Gardner hates publicity. Can we blame them.
In the Financial Times last week, in a tediously worded article the Gardners are complimented for producing an engine with an efficient and reliable petrol consumption.
Oh, dear.
But don't think we're being smart. Last week in a news story about Gardner we referred to Rolls-Royce— which could be taken as Rolls-Royce 1971 Ltd. In fact we meant Rolls-Royce Motors. Sorry!
