THE questionof whether bus inspectors at Middlesbrough should have a salary increase is to have further consideration from the general purposes committee, despite an outright rejection of the proposal by the salaries sub-committee.
The general purposes committee decided to examine the position again. after being reminded by air. E. Finder that the pay differential between inspectors and drivers had fallen from 18 per cent. in 1939 to 16 per cent.
