MORE coach tours from Britain to Eire are expected this year. Already the Eireann Government have granted eight applications by British coach operators for licences. Thirteen operators have so far applied.
Other companies propose to hire coaches in Ireland for tours. It is expected that there will be an increase in coach-air tours, with aircraft chartered from Aer Lingus.
Eight British companies ran tours in Fire last year, carrying 3,000 passengers.
