A LONDON removals firm has lost its appeal against a cut in licence authority and must now operate with less than a third of its fleet.The TransportTribunal said the company was lucky to escape revocation.

Battersea-based Moving Home had appealed against the decision of the South-Eastern & Metropolitan Deputy Traffic Commissioner Mary Kane to cut its licence from 10 vehicles and 10 trailers to three vehicles and 10 trailers.She had also ruled that transport manager Irshad Choudry had lost his repute. The company had been called before the D because of a series of drivers' hours and tachogn infringements. The DTC had been told that analysis of 153 charts had revealed 104 infringeme and 6,535km were unaccounted for.
