BRISTOL HAULAGE firm 1J McGill Transport says it has had a successful first month in the Palletline network following its move from rival Palletways.
McGill started with Palletline on 1 January, taking over the Bristol postcode from Gregory Distribution as well as their Keynsham depot. McGill has vacated its Warmley site. McGill general manager Phi I Sanders says:"Every day is getting better. It's tough at first. But when you get down to it everything runs pretty smoothly."
The move to the new site was in part prompted by unsatisfactory facilities at the old depot.
The 60-truck firm now plans to buy six new trucks as part of a fleet-replacement programme.
